"Told ya I was gonna slam another giant," Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, tweeted after the verdict.

The former WWE wrestler sued Gawker in 2012 after the online company published part of a sex tape video of Hogam. The video showed Hogan with the wife of a friend.

Hogan and his attorneys said the video violated his right to privacy. Gawker claimed the video was newsworthy, which would make publishing it protected by the First Amendment.
